Indiana

The historic Washington County Courthouse in Salem, Indiana was designed by Architect Harry P. McDonald, a Civil War veteran. It was built in 1886. It is a Richardsonian Romanesque building and faced with limestone. It features a five-story corner clock tower with a conical roof.

The quilt design is a modern minimalist rendition of the courthouse designed and crafted by Bonita Parlee of Salem, Indiana.
